About this effect
Two koi leap across the face in red, blue and gold enamel, beside the characters 好運 and 錦鯉: good luck, and the koi that brings it. On the back, 福, fortune, sits inside a ring of the twelve zodiac animals.
In China the koi that swims upstream and leaps the Dragon Gate is a symbol of perseverance rewarded, which makes this a natural gift for an exam, a new job or a new venture. It pairs with our Lucky Koi playing cards. A commemorative piece, not money: it copies no currency and claims no value.
