Stocking Stuffers for Men Who Have Everything

Nov 4, 2026 · The Editors

Small things a man will actually keep using after Christmas morning — not another novelty keyring.

The man who has everything does not, as a rule, have small things. He has the big purchases he researched for a month. What he lacks is the pocket-sized stuff nobody buys for themselves, which is exactly what a stocking is for.

The test for a good stocking stuffer is simple: will it still be in use in February? Novelty keyrings fail it. These pass.

Something for his hands

A metal fidget is the stocking stuffer most likely to be carried every day. The gear-and-chain fidget is a pair of working gears on a real roller chain, small enough for a pocket and satisfying in the way a good mechanical watch is. The flip fidget is a solid metal pyramid that spins and flips across a desk for far longer than it should. Both are metal, both are heavy for their size, and neither looks like a toy.

Something for luck

A coin is an old stocking tradition, and these are better than chocolate ones. The yes-or-no decision coin ends the nightly "where shall we eat" debate. The good luck koi coin carries two koi in coloured enamel, the Chinese symbol of perseverance paying off. And if he plays poker, a card guard coin is the one thing every regular uses and almost nobody owns: it sits on his hole cards so they are never mucked by mistake.

Something for the card table

A plastic deck of cards outlasts twenty paper ones and survives the spilled drink. A Svengali deck is a genuine magic trick that fits in a stocking: an ordinary-looking deck that lets him find the card someone chose, from the first evening, with no sleight of hand to learn. It is the classic first trick for a reason.

Something to make him laugh

Fake cockroaches, fifty to a bag, are for the man who will drop one in a colleague's coffee on the first day back. A grown-up's prank, not a children's toy.

Shipping

Everything ships from our supplier overseas, and we do not quote delivery dates because we would be guessing. Stockings are hung on a fixed date, so order well ahead of it.
