About this effect
Most decks decorate the court cards and leave the rest plain. This one paints every card — koi, clouds and figures from Chinese myth, washed in red and gold — so a fan of it looks like a scroll.
The box reads 好运锦鲤, "good-luck koi": the koi is a long-standing symbol of good fortune in China, which makes this an easy gift for a new job, a new year, or anyone who could use the luck.
55 cards on white-core paper, 59 × 89 mm — a touch narrower than a standard poker deck.
