Magic supplies in Salem, Marion County, Oregon
Props, gimmicks and trick decks, posted to Salem. The same catalogue a working magician would carry, without a counter to stand at.
We post to every address in Marion County and the rest of Oregon — there is no shop floor in Salem, and no separate pricing by city.
Salem is small enough that the local magic scene is probably three people who know each other. That is not a disadvantage — it is how most performers learn, and a smaller room is a more honest audience than a big one.
Most people looking for magic tricks in Salem want one of three things: something to learn tonight, a gift for someone starting out, or a specific gimmick to finish a routine they already perform. All three are here — self-working decks and sponge balls at one end, shells and stage apparatus at the other.
Salem
Close-up and street magic
Material built to survive inspection from three feet away: sponge balls, cups and balls, chop cups, ring gimmicks and close-up mats. Street and table work is the most forgiving way to get good, because the audience is small enough to restart and honest enough to tell you when it did not land.

Card magic
Trick decks do the heavy lifting while you learn: a Svengali deck forces a card without a single sleight, a marked deck tells you what they took, and a stripper deck lets you find it blind. Most working repertoires are still mostly cards, and most of them start here.

Starting out in Salem
The first year is about repetition, not acquisition. Pick one effect, perform it a hundred times for real people, and only then buy the second one. Everything in the beginner collection is chosen to survive that kind of use.

Where to buy magic tricks in Salem
Look for a magic shop in Salem and you will turn up costume shops and toy sections. Neither stocks a Svengali deck or a close-up mat worth owning. The props a performer actually wants come by post, which is why every listing here says what is in the box, whether instructions come with it, and how hard the thing is to do.
Salem
Magic in the West
The west coast magic scene leans close-up and comedy, and Los Angeles has the Magic Castle pulling performers through it. Expect strong local competition and a correspondingly good standard of amateur work.
