Magic supplies in Richmond, Virginia
Whatever you perform in Richmond — close-up at a table, walk-around at a party, or a stand-up set — the material ships from here.
We post to every address in Richmond and the rest of Virginia — there is no shop floor here, and no separate pricing by city.
Richmond is small enough that the local magic scene is probably three people who know each other. That is not a disadvantage — it is how most performers learn, and a smaller room is a more honest audience than a big one.
There is no brick-and-mortar magic shop in most of Richmond, which is the usual reason people end up ordering. The trade-off is that you cannot handle a prop before buying it, so every listing says plainly what ships, what is included, and whether instructions come with it.
Richmond
Stage and parlour
Props that read from the back row: appearing and vanishing canes, flower productions, linking rings in 30cm chrome, silks, flash bags and the larger apparatus. Stage material asks more of your staging than your fingers — the method is usually simple and the presentation is the whole job.

Coin magic
Coin work travels better than anything else — an expanded shell and a few half dollars fit in a pocket and play anywhere. Shells, folding coins, coin gimmicks and magnetic props cover vanishes, productions, transpositions and the bend. Harder than cards to learn, and considerably stronger when it lands.

Starting out in Richmond
If you are starting, the honest advice is to buy three things and work them until they are invisible, rather than twenty and perform none of them. A Svengali deck, a set of sponge balls and a decent close-up mat will carry you further in six months than a drawer of apparatus.

Magic around Virginia
Southern magic skews toward walk-around and family work: restaurants, fairs, church events and corporate functions. Material that plays to mixed ages earns more here than anything built for a bar.
