Magic supplies in Mesquite, Dallas County, Texas
If you are performing in Mesquite, or learning to, this is where the props come from. Decks, gimmicks, coins, cups, silks and the rest.
We post to every address in Dallas County and the rest of Texas — there is no shop floor in Mesquite, and no separate pricing by city.
Mesquite is small enough that the local magic scene is probably three people who know each other. That is not a disadvantage — it is how most performers learn, and a smaller room is a more honest audience than a big one.
If you have been learning from videos and want the props to go with them, this is the shortcut. Marked decks, Svengali decks, stripper decks, coin gimmicks and close-up mats all ship to Mesquite, and the listings say which effects each one is actually used for.

Coin magic
Coin work travels better than anything else: one gimmick in a pocket and whatever change you already have. A plate that lets a borrowed coin fall through the base of a glass, and a coin you can see straight through — both work with the coins in your hand rather than a matched set you have to go and buy. Harder than cards to learn, and considerably stronger when it lands.

Close-up and street magic
Material built to survive inspection from three feet away: sponge balls, cups and balls, chop cups, ring gimmicks and close-up mats. Street and table work is the most forgiving way to get good, because the audience is small enough to restart and honest enough to tell you when it did not land.

Starting out in Mesquite
The first year is about repetition, not acquisition. Pick one effect, perform it a hundred times for real people, and only then buy the second one. Everything in the beginner collection is chosen to survive that kind of use.

Where to buy magic tricks in Mesquite
Look for a magic shop in Mesquite and you will turn up costume shops and toy sections. Neither stocks a Svengali deck or a close-up mat worth owning. The props a performer actually wants come by post, which is why every listing here says what is in the box, whether instructions come with it, and how hard the thing is to do.

Magic in the Southwest
Las Vegas anchors the southwest, which means the regional standard for stage illusion is unusually high and there is steady paid work for close-up performers in restaurants and casinos.
